On Saturday I came in to Shanghai at 9.30am and went straight to my (yes mine) Starbucks. One raisin scone + a grande signature hot chocolate at Starbucks. It was so cozy, christmas music and hot chocolate. Now I am really looking forward to christmas even though I won't have that much fun this year. At least I have my gingerbread from IKEA. After breakfast I walked over to Xintiandi and walked around there. You could really feel autumn in the air, and it was really nice. For lunch I stopped by at Wagas and had a extreamly good ceasar salad. Then I decided to go to the Shanghai Zoo. It wasn't that good, I mean compared to Europe, however it was a nice walk around the big park and a good way to spend a few hours. After a couple of hours at the zoo I took the metro over to Pudong and went to get a Kiwi/Orange Juice in the Super Brand Mall before continuing over to the IFC Mall (exclusive brands). I'd already decided to get myself really nice for my birthday... Unluckily for me, I didn't find anything?!

Nevertheless, I bought myself as you saw a charm at Thomas Sabo as an early birthday present. After looking at bags and watches for watch seamed as hours I went over to the financal tower (the bottle opener) to eat at Blue Frog Bar&Grill. It's a really good place where everyone speaks perfect English and are really friendly. They have happy hour between 4-8pm. So for a starter I had super good bruchetta, then the Blue Frog Burger and with that I drank a frozen mango margarita.

After dinner went back to Puxi and to Forever21. Determined to find some clothes, and I did! I bought one really neardy t-shirt, one plain white t-shirt, a headband (for winter), one leaf necklace and a pair of training shorts. Didn't spend a lot of money either.

Christmas waves a magic wand over this world, and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful.

Yesterday I got myself an early birthday present. However, I will not open it until December 1st.

Look good, feel good.

The new light sports bra I bought on Wednesday.

I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!

I'm not sure what I want to do with my life. One second I'm sure, the other I'm doubting myself. I'm leaving China that's for sure though. I got three choices or well to be realistic only two.

Either I stay in China one more semester then do my six month long internship somwhere and then come back to China or transfer over to Switzerland/Australia/Spain/United States.

I have also been accepted to Hawai'i Pacific University (again) first it was the travel industry management major but I changed it to Advertising / Public Relations. I'm not sure how much my dad would agree to this one though, so I probably need to take a loan for about a million Swedish crowns...

This is the option I'm probably going with: Do my internship in February and then transfer straight to Switzerland. Which unfortunaly starts in end of July allready and I have  my IRONMAN in middle of August in Sweden. But that's fine.

I'm so perplexed. It feels like my life is over, that most of it has already been wasted and that I am not allowed to change my mind anymore. But then again, for christs sake, I'm only turning 19 in two weeks. 19. I'm still young, I'm still allowed not to know what I want to do, right?

Like sands through the hourglass... so are the days of our lives

Finals are done and my first quarter is over. Tonight everyone is going out celebrating, everyone except me that is. I have been in downtown Shanghai all day, had lunch at Element Fresh, then a quick stop at an amazingly fresh juice bar and got a apple/pear juice for 11yuan, dinner was at the best Pizza Hut in Shanghai. Had an amazing view over the bund. Other than eating I bought a really comfy blue fleece at Uniqlo and a sportsbra at Nike.

Autumn has come to Shanghai and it is really starting to get chilly around here. About two weeks until my birthday and it feels very strange not having any snow yet. I should be used to it considering I spent my last few years doing an internship in Dubai at this time, but no.

Now movie night.
first day in Shanghai.

Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten

I feel like I've been missing something? It's soon to be 1am here in Shanghai. Where did the time go? I'm not even tired. Luckily for me, I did all my finals today and tomorrow morning I only have one last presentation and one "5-minute-long" cocktail exam in Principals of Bar and Beverage Operations. After that I believe I'm done for this quarter.

So A-quarter: Bring it on.
